Hi Marty:

Hope this message finds it way to you.  If you have the parts from when you converted your yellow belly I would like to purchase them from you.  The LCRU board is bad along with the POD in mine; the sound board shorted and took out the other electronic parts.  I would also like to get the smoke unit parts,  I need the Smoke Lever Assembly, bracket smoke lever, and smoke unit.   Can you please contact me at my business email address;  jajsea@yahoo.com.

Thanks

Hi Marty:

Thank you for taking the time to respond.  I purchased a new sound card from Lionel and it works.  Looked at the LCRU board using a bright light and magnifying glass and found one of the components had melted and the board was burnt in a couple of places.  I think it is dead :-).    What I am looking for is a replacement LCRU board and the smoke unit parts.  The board is available from Lionel the smoke units have to be searched for.   In summary the parts you have left are not the ones I need for the repair.

I will post a message on the forum and hopefully someone will have the parts.

Once again thank you for all you assistance, it was greatly appreciated.

I want to keep it looking and operating in its original glory.   That is why I am searching for replacement parts and not upgrade parts.   Told my wife and kids if I wanted an engine with advanced features I would buy one, like this one just they way is it (correction was -- before the electrical short and fire :-)  )

Ryan Kunkle will be our hope.  He is the man who gets the high end locomotives produced.  He has done a great job with some good issues.   I recently purchased the 21 inch C&O cars hoping that we may see the engine some day.  The Yellowbelly as it is is very well made.  It would make a great Legacy engine with whistle smoke.  I would love to see the blowdown like the Milwaukee S-3 has.   I have my current Yellowbelly converted to PS-2 and an MTH smoke unit.  Green LED markers front and red in the rear.

Ryan, we are hoping you do this.  It will be a good timing thing with the 21 inch cars.
