This year I would like to sprinkle artificial snow on my layout under the Christmas Tree. My question is, Which brand or type of snow would you recommend to use? When the season is over I would like to be able to vacuum the snow up. All experiences will be appreciated. Thanks, Casey.

Great idea, but I've found that extra care is needed when using batting. If the batting is near tracks, little bits of batting fluff can be snagged by passing trains and get wrapped around axles or locomotive gears. If you use a track system with a wide plastic base (ex: Fastrack or Realtrax) or use a wide roadbed to keep the fluff down, it shouldn't pose any hazard to a passing train.
