Since I am getting this info second hand from the shop owner I cannot confirm the issue but as I know him and know he can use DCS pretty proficiently I can only assume his observations are correct...

With that said, he went to add locomotives into the DCS remote with the WiFi on and was having trouble doing so.  Once the WiFi unit was powered down the issue went away.  I was at the shop Saturday and would have loved to attempted this but could not due to how busy we were ( a good thing).

Also is the feature reset issue a 5.0 issue or an App issue?  He had that problem as well using the standard remote not the App.

Thanks in advance.  As I said I didn't have a chance to confirm but the shop owner is pretty DCS savvy.

Marty,

I've yet to see any neagtive effect of the DCS WiFi App and the remote on each other's operation.

Regarding any issues with an app Factory Reset, I've heard that the DCS ID# isn't reset, however, I've been traveling and unable to see this for myself. I'll be visting with Marty Fitzhenry today and will attempt to verify this on his layout.

Matt,

After a teest session today, Marty Fitrzhenry and I determined the following:

  • Factory Reset works correctly
  • Feature Reset, however, has a bug. It should not delete the enginbe, however, it states that it will delete the engine and does so. Regardless, when the engine is re-added, it, correctly, has its previous DCS ID#.

I'll report this bug to MTH.
