Question for MTH DCS Users

Trying to determine if a MTH #20-91225 PRR Animated N6b caboose will operate from the whistle button on my Lionel ZW transformer with 180 watt bricks. MTH states the animated brakeman can be triggered using the whistle button on a MTH transformer or with a DCS operating track section. I know very little about DCS.

The caboose hasn't anything to do with DCS as it operates conventionally. It works on any AC transformer with a bell button (not whistle button) and should work with your transformer.

DCS operating track? What's that?

Please look in the Scenery Sourcelist, first.

Probably refers to any of MTH Operating Track Sections.

Search MTH for Operating Track Section.

Yes, but they have nothing to do with DCS, only conventional, Am I still wrong?

Technically your right. But it can be used with the DCS remote if it is hooked up to an AIU.

Thanks for the replies. I can only assume the animation feature of the caboose will operate when the bell button on the ZW is depressed.
