Does anyone know how to color code the track modules in RR Track.  I have set up my layout with 2 tracks.  Both print in Black. I am trying to make a template for a control panel and want Track One to be a different color than Track Two.  Any helpful advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, you need to assign colors to the track segments first.

Then when you open the print menu, there are tabs along the right hand side. One of them says Options. Open that and there is a box you can check to print track in color

I agree 100% with David.  There is no easier way than this and the number of layers is unlimited.  Also, a big advantage is that you can make a layer temporarily invisible.  This is particularly useful when one layer is an elevated line and passes over a lower layer.

I set my plan up as bench layer (black track), upper layer (navy blue), elevated layer (orange), subway layer (maroon), motorized units layer (also black, but it's separate so I can make it invisible), trolley layer, etc.

Thanks for the ideas.  I will try them.  I was able to color each track run individually (I have 2 distinct tracks in my layout) but was not able to do it globally, as I think the software should be able to handle after the fact.  Perhaps a bug in the v5 software.  Been attempting to talk to the company but no response so far.  I did find the "Options" section and was able to print out a good control panel template.  However, it looks like I will have close to 75 different switches for my layout.  Is this too many???  Fyi:  27 of them control turnouts.  Thanks again. This forum is very helpful.

The default track color can be changed, but if you want multiple colors of track on the same layout, you can right-click the highlighted track section and go to "settings" and select an alternate color. This is tedious as you have to do it section by section.
