Hi All,
I'm looking for a replacement cab shell for a McDonald's F40PH engine from the Railking 30-4042-1 RTR set. My engine is brand new but the paint started cracking and flaking off the cab body. Any help in locating a replacement shell would be most appreciated.

Does MTH have any to sell? They are not as paranoid about replacement shells as Lionel is.

I spoke to Mike Wolf and Midge at MTH and they don't have any replacement shells available for this engine. I acxtually brought this engine to York and showed it to Mike Wolf who agreed that it was a manufacturing defect. It is the only train item that I've ever experienced a paint cracking issue with in my many years as a model train collector and operator. Thanks for your reply and suggestion.
