Looking to add a upper 42 curve circle with a center platform being glass not plexi, to showcase a few special pieces. Due to the weight of the trains, with eight plastic and wood piers.

I'm stumped on what to do for the upper part of the pier, and still keep it in line with the tres' unique Art Deco style of my layout table. Here are a couple of pics of the table as such with most of my goodies, and one pic of a table for inspiration for the upper circle..

Here is a first and not yet the best attempt at a little video I made touring the table: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlLIoaMuO3s

Looking to add a upper 42 curve circle of USATrack with a center platform being glass not plexi, to showcase a few special pieces. Want to be able to see through it to the table surface below. Due to the weight of the trains, there will be eight solid plastic dowels, small rings with wood pier bases. The wood base will probably be gloss black paint. On the track circle, I will be running a 318E repro and two 300 series passenger cars.

I'm stumped on what to do for the upper part of the pier, and still keep it in line with the tres' unique Art Deco style of my layout table I've created. Also stumped on what to have in the center for support under the glass, in keeping with the rest.
