What are some rare and other tain builders. Like Kusan. I have been into o scale for 25 years and just found out about them.

I've known about them for awhile, but only acquired some (three boxcars) as an adjunct to an estate sale, after which I had to hunt for some replacement trucks to make them "runners"
(Kusan used an unusual mounting method that has a collar on the underframe fit into an enlarged hole in the truck bolster, with a wide-shouldered screw holding them together from underneath--meaning only their trucks properly fit their freight cars)
Between York and a subsequent Greenberg show, I wound up with a few more examples (two flatcars, a gondola and two tank cars), leaving me with a total of eight.
Many of these freight cars reappeared as Williams and/or K-Line rolling stock.

You might do a search for Colber. They made accessories for O-gauge trains in the 1950's. Noma, as well. There were many businesses producing O-gauge items in the 1950's, when trains were popular. From wood kits to flexible 3-rail track with ties.
Skyline, Junior Bridge Co, H&H, Minicraft are a few more.
The AMT, Kusan, KMT evolution makes for some interesting reading during the Postwar period.
