Stephen, I will share some photos of the GP9 That I built up on this form tread in the next couple of days. I have the two articles scaned in pdf format and would be happy to email them to you if you want to share your email address hear. I am not sure what the form allows in that reguard. I will tell you that I had a hard time getting the brass frame from Des Plaines Hobbies as the were out of stock at the time I was doing the project. This was a couple of years ago and they may have them back in stock now. So, I ended up milling my own frame and motor mount with intergrated DCC decoder mount. I did use the P&D Hobbies brass trucks and repower kit. Those are very nice. I will add some photos in the next few days.

Bob

I believe the brass frame is once again available from DesPlaines. Another option is a CNC milled aluminum frame plus weights from Finescale 360.

I have started but not finished 3 GP9 rebuilds using the old DesPlaines brass frame and P&D drive kits. Do note that the gorgeous brass trucks benefit from additional pickup wipers, and due to age a motor universal "helmet" and /or upper drive sprocket may have cracked from hoop stress. Neither is a particularly difficult repair.
