Removing Hot glue from soft plastics | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Here is the Readers Digest condensed version: I have electronics fastened to soft plastic with hot glue and I want to removed the old electronics and replace it with modern new electronics. First I have never done this before and I would like to the from the group the tips, trix and another suggestion before I try to remove the old electronics.

Hot glue is mainly wax.

Heat from a hairdryer or soldering iron will re-soften the wax.

What he said. I use a heat gun or my shop hair dryer to soften hotglue.
