While waiting the arrival of Tropical Store Hermine I have been looking for reviews and comparisons of the various Alco S2 switchers. I never really found much information. Has anyone convert on to Kadees for 3RS? I did find some clips on YouTube but they were not too informative?

Looks like you did a lot of work -- fixing the pilots, filling in couple holes and installing Kadees, and handrails.
One thing that lead me to ask this question was the side frames of the trucks, The Lionel frames appear to have grossly exaggerated the details.
I also am expecting that Lionel will use many of the design features on the new NW2.

I don't recall the Lionel trucks. It would be nice to compare them side to side. I do remember the Lionel model being nice overall. I also think the MTH model is a nice place to start.
Maybe a member will post a photo of the Lionel.
