I am going to take a guess on this. Others may have direct experience. MTH Scaletrax is solid rail, and track sections connect with interlocking plastic ties. The electrical connection is made with contacts under the rail. I don't see that MTH makes any track adapter for other track systems, so this would be a custom job. I would try to use Scaletrax switches where possible, but I guess you might want to use a Ross wye switch. I would not try to join the Scaletrax track and Ross switch, but rather lay them together and screw them both securely down so they don't move. You will need to power the Ross switch separately and tie it's feeds together under your benchwork to the power feeds for your Scaletrax. You also need to make sure the rail heights match. Shimming of the Scaletrax will likely be required, since Scaletrax has a lower profile than Ross. Also, it shouldn't matter, but it will be noticeable that the Scaletrax center rail is about half the width of the Ross center rail. Last thing, you only have half a rail tie at the end of a Scaletrax section. You may want to cut the end of the Scaletrax section or replace the end tie with one cut from a scrap section for added realism.

Found this in another thread. It may help...

"OK, I'm rebuilding with ScaleTrax.

Yes, the selection of switches is limited a bit, O-31, O-54, O-72, #4, #6 left or right.

However, Ross switches have rails that are VERY similar to Scaletrax in size and shape (slightly taller) with much thicker ties.

Easy fix: 5mm roadbed under the ScaleTrax and 2mm cork sheet under the Ross switch. The tops come out even and the rail shape match is sweet.

I have a pair of Ross Wyes to mate up with my ScaleTrax."
