As the subject line states, I want to see just how creative tinplate guys can be with their trains on/in simple carpet "scenery".

Here is an older video of a Marx clockwork "Cloverleaf":
No photos, but how about a video from Christmas?
Seeing this video reminds me that I want to clean up the light connections in the cars, and stop by the TCA museum library to research it a bit.
This is the reason to focus on the modern can motored pieces. Less mess and less fuss down the road.
And I just put all my tinplate away too...
Rick,
Sorry buddy I do not run my Tin Plate on the carpet.

Standard gauge LIONEL trains from your country running on the carpet as they were intended to be used originaly. Not a great scenery, and not the greatest models....i confess but many fun to do it.
The action took place in France some years ago.... Daniel
Cool shots and vid's guys, thanks.
Rick.
Here's a video of my Christmas layout in 2012. The track divides the snow from the carpet, so it's half carpet I guess?

Johnny,
I really like the "neat" appearance of your layout. Not too much clutter.. combined with the nice bench work make this one of my favorites on the forum
Sunrise
Johnny,
Indeed it counts...in fact...exactly what I am trying to "see" in the minds eye!
Thanks Guys.....
Rick.
Glad it's one of your favorites Sunrise.
Happy that it counts Rick.
No carpet, but how about a fuzzy green blanky?
James, how many laps do you get on your figure 8 set up?
See you Wednesday! Al
I sure think we have a bunch of Carpet Baggers in our ranks. Keep them coming.

WP,
I love your Tin Plate train & layout, simply fantastic stuff, even has a carpet central look to it.
