From the Yahoo S Scale board:

"Robin Thompson has asked that I notify the S Scale group that Don, after a hip replacement last week, has contracted pneumonia whilst at a rehab centre. He is now back in hospital and though depressed, is Ok.

I, if not Don (when he can reach the iPad), will keep you updated.

Robin, what with Dons illness and trying to close on a condo, is somewhat busy and may not respond to emails directly.

Please join with me and wish Don a speedy recovery.

Regards

John Prior
Swindon, England"

I would also like to take the time to wish Don a speedy recovery.

I would also like to extend best wishes for a healthy recovery for Don. He is one of the leaders in the revival of S gauge products. He, Robin, and Mike Ferraro are responsible for all the praise lavished on S Helper Service for the quality of their products, their service, and their attention and devotion to their customers. That praise belongs to them. I was not one of their bigger customers, I suppose; but Don remembered who I was when I met him at trade shows a couple of times, and that made a big impression on me. He may be depressed at the moment for a temporary setback, but he should be very proud of what he has accomplished and all the friends he has made in the industry and the hobby.

Don and Robin are genuinely good people, and I count myself fortunate to have met them working in the hobby. S Helper Service is not only a symbol of quality in S scale, but Don and Robin are also symbols of what nice people can accomplish when they truly care about their customers and and what they do with their products.

MTH has a proud heritage to match with the S Helper Service line.

I hope Don will have a complete recovery and get past this set back with his hip replacement.
