Its not too often that I get to run my entire rainbow train. Its length would probably lap my home layout twice, so I can only run it on modular layouts, but hauling all these cars around can be a chore. A couple weeks ago, the trackers put up a layout at a Greenberg's show that ran in conjunction with the N Scale East convention. Seeing all those little tiny 14 car trains running around (I couldn't help but be a bit envious of the guy who had a full length AutoTrain) motivated me to haul it over there and run it for a while, so I took a video. The E-8s are all MTH and powered (8 motors), the E-9 is a lionel dummy and the cars are a mish mash of MTH, GGD, Atlas and K-line... and no, it does not take all 4 powered units to pull it. On a flat layout, 2 of them seemed up to the task.
