Specifications for LIONEL 463 reactor steel balls

I measured a loose ball bearing I think is from my Lionel 463 Reactor, which is currently in storage.

It measured 11MM about .433 inches in diameter.

Size is not all that important, it just has to be small enough to fit down the shoot.

11mm chrome steel bearings are about $25 per 100 shipped on Ebay.

The white plastic glowing ball ones are harder to find.

Thanks for checking, Not sure what happened to the ones that were supposed to be with it. Good to know that size will make it through to the drum. Crazy question, I assume chrome steel is still as magnetic as carbon steel ( more or less).

Chrome steel is just as magnet friendly as regular steel, but it does not rust as quickly as carbon steel.

I like my toys clean and shiny.

I may have goof up on my ball bearing size.

I found a 35 mm film can with a group of 4mm ball bearing that may be the correct ones that came with the reactor.

4 mm bearing are much smaller and lighter than the 11mm I found earlier.

The 11mm maybe from a old Japan Pinchico machine I had and sold.

4mm are also much cheaper, I found them on Ebay at under $2 shipped for 72 4mm steel balls.
