Very interesting look at a community I recently discovered that is in some ways is a parallel universe to our own hobby in some limited respects. It also does glorify defacement of private property; or is it defacement? It's all a matter of in the eye of the beholder.

Adding to this discussion is this fellow; I have corresponded with him and he shows little or no interest in the hobby other than miniature recreations of his 1:1 work.

His website: http://www.proxone.bigcartel.com

Here are a few samples of his work:

I'm not a fan of tagging but when you seea boxcar go by that is painted to look like a WWII battleship and they painted around all the railroads markings you can't help but go WOW!!!   Some times I think the railroad doesn't mind if they don't cover up critical data, they are just covering up rust....LOL.

The ability to replicate the prototype accurately is something that a few folks here tend to claim to lay pursuit of at times.

I look at graffiti as another form of an environmental weathering - graffiti is thousands of years old.

It simply is part of reality whether it is liked or not.

It is technically impressive being hand painted.  Hand lettering and painting at one time was something that was just done; just picking up a paint brush today is a rarity.
