This week I've been sick with a cold but with what little time I did spend in the train room I continued work on the downtown area.  Another row of shops.....

Everyone in the house loves to come upstairs and "play trains"!  Actually 3 of my dogs love to chase a laser light that I shine around sometimes while we are playing trains.  When I ask my grandson if he wants to play trains the dogs get really excited and start jumping around then everyone runs upstairs, me included .

I picked up some more sidewalk from Home Depot, two 12" x 12" sheets should be enough.  The hard part with using these mosaic tile pieces is scraping off all of the glue on the back so they lay flat.

This small model is a little gem I scratch built representing a small seafood food shack. It's only about 4" x 6" and features a very weathered appearance reminiscent of a sun beaten shoreline shack serving locals a good plateful of clams etc. The seagull (named Marty) hanging around the rooftop is hand carved. Hope you enjoy it.
