Good Morning Everyone,

I am getting ready to start a few new projects that I will put out as individual topics in the near future, For now, here are some pictures of a past project. This is a cut-away model of a petroleum storage tank that has an internal floating roof used to store gasoline.

That is one excellent model, Al.

All I've got this week are a couple of Diecast Direct forklift trucks that I've tarted up . . .

FL 01

FL 03

A 3 mm yellow LED with a 330 Ω resistor for ballast and two proto white surface mounted LEDs with 1 kΩ resistors.

FL 02

The axles are glued and the bottoms of the tires are ground flat to make them sit nicely.

FL 06

A scratch built LPG tank and some splattered mud.

FL 05

There is a two function decoder coming - to run the headlights and the beacon.

Not a bad result from a $20 truck - if I do say so myself.

The other one ended up with a second hand Loksound decoder . . .

That diorama is not quite finished . . .

Cheers

Nice work on the fuel tank and forklifts.  Love the sound to it. Been way to busy on home projects to work on the layout.  Last month I had made a tree out of wire and latex rubber.  It was like 8 inches tall so I wanted a to try a taller one. This new tree is 13 inches tall. I did use floral tape on the trunk and larger limbs to hide the wire,  still need to paint and add leaves. When done should look like a Ash tree. Nick T.
