The G&O's headquarters and home territory is the San Francisco Bay Area. The G&O was operating many special trains today to bring fans from all over the country to tomorrow's Super Bowl. Here are a few photos of the specials arriving in the San Francisco Bay Area for the big game tomorrow.
A G&O Super Bowl special crosses the Golden Gate Bridge behind a borrowed N&W Class A.
A G&O special rounds Coupler Curve and heads to the Bay Area. This is the way to travel to the Super Bowl.
A G gauge special brings party equipment for the game. The cars in this train are convention cars from past National Garden Railroad Conventions. The black caboose is from the 1993 convention that was held in the SF Bay Area. The 2016 National Garden Railroad Convention is July 4 to 10 and is hosted by the Bay Area Garden Railroad Society. The convention will be held across the street from Levis Stadium where the Super Bowl will be played tomorrow. The G&O will be open for tours on July 7 and 10. Everyone is invited to come see us.

The Bronco team arrives in a Milwaukee Road train painted in Bronco Orange. The Panther team arrives in a Amtrak California train sporting the Blue and Black Panther team colors. It looks as if the game will be a battle of the old Milwaukee steamer versus the new Amtrak diesel. We are going to see a classic contest of youth versus experience. We all know that the young Panther can run. I bet that the old Milwaukee Bronco can still do over a 100. It will be great game.
