I'm sure Pat will chime in here, but usually "free shipping" goes UPS Ground or Fed Ex Ground.  And if you live reasonably close -- as in a state or two away, you may get "next day" service just with regular ground shipments.  Actually PAYING for next-day service (or even 2-day service) can get pricey very quickly.    Especially for an expensive item the size/weight of a Big Boy.

You guys had a long day!  Thanks!

I just want to take a minute and thank Pat and the fine folks there at Patrick's Trains.  I made a mad dash from Columbus to Wheeling when Pat called me at noon to say that my toys had arrived.  VERY gracious hosts and a store that is LITERALLY packed from floor to ceiling with all of the top end stuff we all love.  My only regret is that I didn't have the time to fondle each and every item there.

The whole crew was very busy greeting customers, being gracious and still trying to get all of the shipments out to everyone who has supported our terrific forum sponsor, Pat.  After a VERY brief visit, the guys helped me pack my Big Boy, Cab Forward, two starter sets and an extra boxcar into my van and I was off in a cloud of dust on my way back to Columbus.

Anyone who got an order filled today owes the crew at Patrick's Trains and extra "Thank You" as I understand they stayed well after 8:00 PM tonight trying to accommodate everyone by getting their orders shipped ASAP.

Way to go Pat and may God bless...

Best,

Dave

That's exactly how I pictured it-I can tell by the phone conversations we've had!

And what a haul you made!  A Cab Fwd and a VL BB!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to realize his/staff's effort.  The whole staff really stepped up to quickly send us our product.  That means a lot to me.

X 2 !   Exactly why I do business with Pat-professional, honest, and dedicated.  Not to mention great prices and prompt service.  Good folks.

Best,

Dave

BTW, UPS can't get here fast enough today!  I'm not an impatient guy, but it's killing me knowing my VL BB is going to be here TODAY!

Thanks again Pat!

Thanks Dave for the kind words, I wish we had more time to talk.
Thanks
