To Mark the Menards Train guy. I stopped at my local Menards today and purchased a 4.5 volt power supply (the only one left) and it is powering the Menards Hobby Shop perfectly. Why my existing power supply is not compatable with this building but works with the other two buildings will remain a mystery. The only suggestion I have is it would be if the building lights could be activated with a remotely wired selector button as it the buildings have to be located within arms reach on the layout. This may add excessive cost to the buildings so I understand why this is not possible.

Thank you.

Nairb,

That is excellent to hear! I'm glad it worked out for you. I think a selector like the one you are describing is a great idea. It would definitely be worth looking into!

Thank you,

Mark,

How long from the time you sign up for the e-mail's do you start receiving them?

I signed up early last week and didn't receive the e-mail with the WP boxcars.

Vince,

It looks like we have your email address in the system but you weren’t on a mailing list. Possibly what happened is you signed up but didn’t click the train email checkbox. I made sure to get you onto the train list but let me know if you have any further troubles.

Thank you,

Mark the Menards Train Guy

Yes, that must have been the same for me.  When I went to the email signup page, I knew I had never seen it before.  Now I am signed up.  I have never been to a Menards store.  I see the nearest to me is in Massilon Ohio, about a 3 hour drive.  But I did purchase a PRR boxcar, and see more neat items.  Wish I had more money.  ;-)

Thanks, Mark!!

Mark,

Me too.  lionelllc@Hotmail.com

I signed up some time last week, but nothing even though I selected the "collectibles" email list.  Just looking to get the train related emails.

Stu

Bill, Stu and Vince,

It sounds like there was an error in our email system. We had an algorithm entered incorrectly for people to be taken off the email list if they hadn’t opened the last 6 emails. It’s hard to open an email when you haven't gotten one yet! Sorry about that!

If anyone else is having the issue, just let me know.

Thank you,

Mark the Menards Train Guy
