I am not certain this is the correct  forum to post this on , so if some one decides to send the posting to another  forum topic that would be ok with me

The local TV news announcement  caught my attention    - All aboard the Polar Express -   so curious enough I stayed glued to the  boob tube to see what this was all about

They showed  a group of children  moving into a rail car with tables all set up  to receive  hot chocolate , the car itself was nicely done  would not have minded being  on board myself ...   but as the story  continued on it was not  quite  what I had imagined .........

as you can see by these three announcement  here in  Alberta and  British Columbia ( Canada)  certain associations had manged to organize a real Polar Express ride to the North Pole for children suffering form cancer   ........   they have even have it down to the    Bell   and the Golden tickets      ..     i began wondering  if there were any  places in  the  USA  who may have done the same thing

The Polar Express    seems certainly to  have brought many magical moments to many people  over the years     , I guess it is time I set mine up to run around the  Christmas tree, while I watch the video

Glad for the generous outpouring for the benefit of these sick children to give them a train ride on a Polar Express car experience,  for some unfortunately it might be their last chance,  others who make it through their cancer and survive just might be future hobby railroaders. Let's pray for them to survive and become a part of our wonderful train hobby. God Bless them all!

My wife works for Delta Airlines. Every year, they do a "North Pole Flight". It's very much the same at the Polar Express. The kids come to the airport and go through everything any other passenger does. When they check in, their boarding pass has MSP as the origin and North Pole as the destination. It shows up on all the displays through the airport and they board a plane that is decorated to the nines. They taxi to a hanger that is the "North Pole" and have a day with Santa and the elves and everything Christmas (without the religious reference). It's pretty amazing.
