When I upgraded my new Rev L TIU and remote to 4.3, I thought I read that they had to both be running the same version.
For my Christmas layout, I'd like to use an older TIU (not at 4.3) with the upgraded remote (at 4.3)
Will they work together? What do I lose by not upgrading the old TIU, just the new features and fixes?
My concern is that if I upgrade the old TIU, then it may not get along with other's remotes (not 4.3) that may visit the layout.... Hmmmmm.

I've used a 4.2 remote to access a 4.3 TIU with no apparent issues. I believe it's not that critical, but I don't think I'd try to mix a 3.x remote or TIU with a 4.x remote or TIU.
I would make certain that all TIUs and remotes are using the same level of DCS.
If they are not, at best you will be missing new features and functions. At worst, you could have unpredictable results and errors that will be difficult to troubleshoot.
