Just spitballing as I recently removed myself from doing repairs for the hobby store I will soon have more time to work on my trains and I have 5 steamers that all need chuff generators and super chuffers as well as batteries with a few that just need batteries

I have seriously considered minimizing my repairs so I could do more design work, I get a kick out of creating something new.

Well, after working 80 hours a week and a good chunk of that on repairs I decided I'm done. I'm pretty good at fixing things but after actually logging my time and keeping track I found it was taking me much longer than I thought to do repairs. Couple that with the ever growing pile of my own trains that need work and the never shrinking pile of store repairs i came to the conclusion that I'm better off letting that part go. I was spending so much time fixing other people stuff I never had any time to make things special or do new and exciting upgrades and it burned me out. You know what the say, when you do what you love for a living, you hate what you love

If ERR (really Lionel) wanted to buy them, I'd be glad to do a deal.  I have the feeling if they wanted something like my stuff they'd just design it themselves.  Besides, having big volumes would bury me, too much success!

Maybe they will see this and contact you? As long as the quantities were manageable. I can see where that could be a problem. Of course, you are right about them just making their own if they wanted one.

Now this might be a better idea. And if you do design more stuff and discuss it here (so Stan can help with creeping features ) and as usual, I would certainly be following along.

Actually, you seem to be doing quite well with designing things and still doing repairs right now. But, I also have no idea how much time you are putting in to accomplish all of this. If it was me I would probably be working 48 hour days!

It's continually amazing to me the continued 'support' you guys have for our hobby!! I've only had personal interaction (upgrades) with Gunrunnerjohn.. I'm not sure where the hobby would be without your knowledge, dedication and willingness to share that knowledge.. I can only extend my great appreciation to you guys and others that do all kinds of positive things to promote our hobby..  I won't name others at the risk of leaving someone out..

A big thank you to you all('ya'll here in the South) from South Carolina!!!!

I agree about this forum.   Also Gun Runner.  I am surprised I am not on his ignore list.  He has helped me  a lot over the years.  I try to pass the knowledge on here locally.
