Has anyone seen this show on PBS?

I came across this show this morning while getting dressed.  They highlighted two large HO layouts, one in CO at a museum and the other in PA at a club. Then they had a segment about a museum in DE that has steam powered cars, as well as a 3/4 mile backyard steam train. There was also a ride on the California Zepher!

I found it in the guide to set up a series recording, next Sunday at 11est, and it said it was highlighting a huge O scale two rail layout.

They seemed liked they were older, not filmed last year, but maybe 10-20 years ago?

Thought I'd share my find.

No need to pass along the "thanks" from spouses, kids, other family members, or people in the general viewing area as they roll their eyes and say, "you have a whole room/basement full of trains, you need to watch them on TV too?", your enjoyment is all the thanks I need!

I told my basement contractor that I wanted to keep all the dirt on site for a backyard RR. He agreed and then started trucking it all away! I caught him and put a stop to it. Because of that my RR is much lower and flatter than I had planned. I should have paid closer attention to Dennis's description at the beginning of the video. I never realized how much it would cost overall.

I see a video on Utube of the Tracks Ahead episode of Joshua Lionel Cowen and many others that I never knew about.

The local PBS here, OETA in Oklahoma City, shows them on Sunday mornings from 06:00 to 07:00 hrs.  I also remember watching them out of Milwaukee, where the were produced, back in the early 2000-2003 when I worked at Great Lakes Naval.  Then, when managing a job at Robins AFB in Georgia, I purchased a lot of 24 tapes, 6-8 episodes each, from a local antique shop in Perry, Ga.  Along with the OGR tapes I have, I spend/ have spent many hours watching and getting many great ideas and tips from all.  Along with the real train shows on RFDTV Mondays, TMs "I Love Toy Trains" on RFDTV Thursdays, I really have to schedule my working hours and time spent in the train room working, not entranced by the fine videos projected onto the wall.  If you ever have a chance to acquire some, or watch/tape them, it is worth your efforts.... IMHO.

Oman, a few years ago the producers did an Arizona trip and filmed three of us here.  It took about a year before they were included into their next video, but when ready I contacted our local PBS station in Phoenix about showing it.  They were non-committal.  So, we mounted a campaign to encourage them and finally they agreed.  I, of course, missed the episode which I was on.  But I bought the DVD.  You can buy all the DVD's produced by going to the Wisconsin Public Broadcasting website.

Oh, the the producer was nice enough to send me an unedited video of their taping, which took over an hour for a ten minute segment.  They also left a gift of an HO tank car with their name and logo on it.

This museum is the Marshall Family of Auburn Hills/Yorklyn Delaware, Right out side of Chester County PA. He has the most complete collection of Stanley Steamer Cars, and the giant outdoor railroad.

Here is the link. http://auburnheights.org/collections/trains/

What was the title of your episode? I just discovered that I can watch Tracks Ahead for free on Amazon Prime. I have an Amazon Prime account for shipping and have never taken advantage of the free video.
