Zeke,

Thank you for posting.  I have seen notices in previous years, but never made it there.  This year, they had a nice half page article in the Butler Eagle in late November, and I picked up a brochure at a train show.  I have had it on my list of things to do this week, since it is maybe 5 miles from my home.  Fortunately I am finally getting over a bad sinus infection and hope to make it Saturday or Sunday.

HarleyHouse,

Thank you for the positive reply.  I hope to make it over and compare notes.

Sinclair,

If I am able to attend, I will ask if I can take some photos.

It is a nice display simple loops but nice detail. My kind of layout with tinplate O track and large curves to run them fast.

I asked about volunteering next year and was welcomed to come help.

HarleyHouse,

According to the article in the paper, about 30 volunteered to build it.  It didn't say anything about the number it takes to be there during the show.

Zeke,

thanks for the photos.  I was there today and took a few pictures too.  Some of yours look just like mine.  ;-)

i was using my iPhone 4 and the trains were running fast, so you can see that in my action photos.  I tried a couple of videos as well.  Very well done for a small rural church!

On on a separate platform they had a nice layout showing scenes from the Christmas story.

They are open tomorrow for the last day.
