Trainz: A New Era

This train simulator will officially launch on  February 27th, 2015 with a brand new Hi-rez graphic engine.

 

Featuring trains, varnish and passenger cars from around the world.  You can travel fixed routes that you may have only dreamed of visiting or create your own routes.

 

I have enclosed two you tube videos.  One from the official announcement shows it at disappointing 144P and another in higher rez options to showcase this simulator.

 

I have had a boxed copy pre-ordered months ago with a promise of receiving an early release.???

 

This project was fully funded using "kick starter" months ago.

I'm also an owner of the old MSTS, and I have several add-ons.  Is there any current train sim that can use the files?  I've never done much to get a new sim as I didn't want to have to buy everything over again.  But I do have Train Simulator 2014 on Steam that I got on a blowout sale, but never got into it.  I just haven't found anything that I enjoy running as much as MSTS.

I also own the old MSTS.  If you recall they teased with a MSTS 2 a high-rez version but then cancelled the software

You may want to give Trainz:A New Era a try.  I think it will be everything Microsoft promised and more.

 

I always though that Trainz was a decent train simulator only lacking in the High-Rez graphics department.  it looks like they listened to a number of us.
