Unable to Get Atlas Track

I can't help you with the turnouts, but you could custom cut all 12 pieces out of a single 40" straight section of track. For turnouts, I'd call Ross. You can connect the Ross to the Atlas track by simply using the Atlas track joiners.

That is true regarding the cuts.  I should update that though and state that is I need 6 packs of 4 for a total of 24.

Gilly has a good point. I just received an email from Atlas that says there product line is starting to return with about 70% of it back into the pipeline. They had to change builders which took moving all the dies and molds and in some cases remaking them. They also re-engineered the switches for better operation. In a few months if what there saying is correct I would think things will be getting back to normal.

The Ross O54 switches are 30 degrees and I need the 22.5 degree.  I was able to get 2 off Ebay for $66.  They are missing the 4.5 inch straight, but that is fine with me.  I could have gotten another but my daughter ruined my bid at the last second by distracting me.  That's OK.  I may have never gotten the deal on these two if I did not do more research after losing the bid.

 

Hi Jim.  YES I am interested.  Are those 6 individual pieces or 6 packs of 4?  Also some of the older O54 turnouts have a continuous 14.5 inch straight (I have 2 of these) while the newer ones have the 4.5 inch straight attached.  Which do you have?

Joe. I have 12 of the 1.75 pc's, but I want 6 for myself if and when needed. Let me do some checking on the turnout for you and I will get back to you.. I did see some 054 and 072 on ebay tonite.

Thanks guys.  Well I was able to get (4) O54 switches off Ebay as well as the O72.  The O72 was a little pricey, but I got some of the O54 switches at a good discount.  I also won an auction that was posted for a track bundle.  It included all the 4.5, 5,5, and 1.75 straights as well as a few 10 inch straights.

Yes I have.  I deal with Trainworld in Brooklyn.  I was there today ordering track that was in stock.  They are also having problems getting the desired units.  It seems as though there is a common subset of items that are simply not available at this time at all the dealers.  The Atlas website also states that they are back ordered.

 

My original post also mentioned the scarcity of items on Ebay.  I was premature in stating that.  Simply rephrasing a search term allowed be to see some of those items I needed.

Joe....glad to hear that!  I am also glad that you are finding at least some of what you need.  I really think that in the next few weeks, the dealers will be getting restocked...

Just called them and got the O54 along with 2 packs each of the 1 1/4 and  1 3/4.

The Munoz Lines "Deconstruction" program will be offering lots of Atlas O track and switches at a significant discount early January as soon as structures are packed. Please watch the For Sale boards.
