I've had lots of good finds at shows....and a few misses.

I found one seller with a bunch of Lionel 'Warhorse' N&W hoppers. No price on them so I usually pass....but this time I asked.....$5 each.....bought them all.

But I'd trade them for one of my misses......a AHM sealed Reno 4-4-0 kit......walked out the door as I was walking in......missed it by that much! I did get a Casey Jones kit for $10.....a little consolation prize!

surely nothing rare or ultra valuable. But I do seem to find what I am looking for most times.I had picked up a Marx NYC passenger car, and had been looking for the other coach and the observation. Dad and I went to a show, and within the first few tables there were the two cars I needed, and at a great price.

Very nice find

Thanks.  Found all this stuff at an estate auction.

The K-Line 21" cars were the original reason I went.  It was quite a drive and a cold winter day.  Worth it though, I got all the stuff pictured and more.  Had the truck full and had to ship other items if that tells you anything.

It was a once in a lifetime event.  The bidders were all collectors and I was surprised items were selling reasonable.  I bought several NIB K-Line die cast cars for less than $10!

Below is the stuff I had to ship:

Nice

Lionel wheel

Original Lionel D-165 Ferris Wheel display at a garage sale back in early 2011. Also picked up an original Girl's set and Electronic control set at the same sale. This opened pandora's box so to speak and I ended up purchasing a horde of other items. But it's all written in an article that will come out someday when I can tell the entire story. I highly doubt I will ever hit the jackpot like this again, but who knows...
