Very Cool..Id like to learn more as well.
Alibat, They look good. I have been hunting down some of these, not easy to find in the states. If you guys look up Backwoods Minitures (they are located in the UK) you can find their website. They are O scale and lots of neat stuff. I hope Alibat posts more photos or evan a video of them in action . Nick

Hi Dave It started out as a plastic 3 wheel toy that came with a Thomas train magazine a while back.
Bought it thinking I could use it as a car load but then I discovered O-9 which is 1:48 narrow gauge running on 18" track, a reminder of the sugar cane trains in Natal SA as a child in the '50`s.
Backwoods Miniatures do some great kits & supply the Kato chassis but I thought I would start out kit bashing first as there is a supplier in Japan that sells the Kato tram chassis for $18 better than the $33 most kit people sell them for.
Shapeways 3D printing also offer a great selection.
This is one is by tebee on the shapeway site. James
This is the great low slung Kato chassis.
