I recently had 3 WBB engines upgraded with ERR components and, wow, am I impressed. Another forum member did the upgrades, but I won't reveal his name in case he's not looking to advertise his side job.
The 4-6-0 came out phenomenally. As we expected, there's really no need to put in ERR cruise since it runs so smoothly at low speed without TMCC. The only downside with upgrading this engine is that the tender's rear truck doesn't allow for adding electrocouplers, but, no matter, I'll relegate this one to running on an elevated loop and the Christmas layout where it won't be doing any switching. The sounds are fantastic. I LOVE this engine and have added the C&O version to my "want list."
Also added TMCC with Cruise to a B&O O27 Hudson. I've been wanting a traditional/non-scale B&O steamer for a while, and I am so glad I went this route than changing technologies to the LC+. The sounds and cruise are great.
The last engine, a WBB GG-1, simply had sounds added. Love the additions for conventional running.
