Happy Friday!

Made a lot of progress on that back corner last weekend! Nice to take some pics & have actual scenery :)
Started working on the road into town & the passenger platform area as well. This week, I plan to get the rest of the hillside finished along the back & do some ballasting

Christopher,

I must have missed the start of your new layout. Any photos and information posted?

Last of the Steam Powered Trains

I was born just a bit too late to really experience steam.  The only time I ever saw a steam locomotive in actual service was when i was ten, in 1958.  I was with my cousins in Maple Shade New Jersey.  The railroad ran just a few hundred feet from my Uncle's coal yard.  I cannot recall the exact type, but I believe it was an 0-6-0 switcher.  As it came by us, cinders rained down on us.  I will never forget that experience.

More pics of the RC3R's new corner scenery. It is infested with Homie Clowns. At work, when it's an especially crazy day the standard expression is "OK, who let the clowns loose again"?

I want to take this opportunity to thank Menards for their two buildings. They served as the inspiration for this scenery. IMHO they deserve to be recognized to their contribution to our hobby.

Further thanks to RC3R club member Walt for the beautiful job he did on the Korber Silos. They represent the coal bunkers for our boiler house.

Additional work on my friend Tom's layout.  Just about every thing pictured was on a layout some where else.  Quite an adventure.  Mike CT.  Most of the litho work was done at a local print shop.   Part of the week was spent dismantling/removing  my friend Matt's layout, . Shelving pictured was Matt's.

Tom had fabricated this super street section, and the back drops. The two of us set it in place. There is more city scene to be added.

Slideshow of the project.   Click on the link.

I am very jealous of all the nice work you guys have presented ,

I am waiting for the snow to go, and the warm weather to return  so I can uncover my set up, clean the tracks and begin running my trains once again

last year i had a bit water problem, but the inside look to be fairly dry this time around    so hopefully not much work will be needed before I can put a unit on the tracks...
