Those are turntables. Supposedly Strasburg's "jack pot, mega millions plan" is to tear down the current engine house/shop and build a roundhouse and turntable and the long talked about Amtrak/Strasburg joint station at the end of their line with a turntable.

Yep, SJC is correct!  They have been there for quite a few years.  Whenever I get that question, I tell people that I don't have enough years left of this earth to see them put to use.  LOL.  I wish they would go away, they tend to be an eyesore and I'm always worried about the liability problem.  They are on the SRR's right-of-way but the land belongs to my wife and me.

I loved your layout. A labor of love with detail and humor to the highest degree. The smiles and laughter of the kids says it all. Great animation. I bought one of your DVD's on the way out. Ironically, the turntable bridge girders got my attention and got me into the parking lot.
