pittsburghrailran,

I need to make the trip to Venetia someday when there is an open house.  I see by Google Maps it is 63 miles and 1 1/4 hours from my home.  Thanks for the nice photos!!

Thanks Mark. You cna see the photos showing the construction on the TCA_MG forum I tried posting the link here, but it only works for members. My youngest son Mark helped me with the bridges.

Ssooooooooo cooley-dooley (an expression from the 50's in Pittsburgh) that I had to sit up and look closer at the screen to make sure these vistas were not real - found the middle-rail & noticed the layout edge, so I understood - butWOW what great modeling!

Yesterday I caught the usually nocturnal Buffalo and Pittsburgh PW-1 local at an unusual mid-day Saturday time in Mars, PA.  Here it is heading back to Butler, PA.

B&P 3-28-15

Anthony,

I know the place.  Marshall Crossing, just outside of Mars on the Mars-Evans City Road.  My old stomping grounds.  I grew up a half mile from that line over in Valencia.  Of course it was the B&O then!  Now for the next coincidence.  I live about a half mile from the B&P in Butler, my wife's hometown.  I hear that train a-coming, rolling round the bend...No I'm not in Follsom Prison.  the opening line just came to my head.

So where do you live?

oh, in my excitement, I forgot to say, GREAT PHOTO!

I purchased them at YORK in the Orange Hall at the ARTISA booth.  I think the cloths line with cloths and the stands were $7.50.  The wooden cloths line prop that lots o people still use in the coal region came from my back yard, free.

Who else is ready for their GGD El Capitan to Arrive?  While these need quite a bit of detail work, they'll do the job in the meantime.

Finally and most importantly, my youngest asked me yesterday afternoon if she could run some trains.  How could I say no?
