Received my Athearn RTR SD45 with sound, I am going to hook it up to decoder pro and see if the SP style horn is available on the Tsunami decoder. Pics are out of the box. I'm going to add windshield wipers, paint the ends of the uncoupling levers yellow and correct the step ends to yellow, as Athearn has them incorrectly paint white.

On a side note, the three road numbers that Athearn offered came in three different varieties of trucks as per the prototype.

 

 

This is my latest quicky HO layout with 8" radius curves in the space of 22" x 44". Cars up to about 4" long look OK on curves this tight. I'm considering possibilities for a compact hill-climber HO layout with really tight curves. I have a Kato NW2 that handles 8" radius curves just fine. These little layouts are fun projects you can do in really small spaces, using items that are surplus to my main layout.
