I got Legacy 1.6 with my StationSounds diner car so what is aux 3 for?

It is currently not used for anything but might be sometime in the future. With all of the focus on LionChief and other products I doubt this will be developed soon. I hope otherwise.

This is a WAG, but maybe for some future developments with the LCS it may come into play. You can be sure they have some idea of a use to have put it there.

gunrunnerjohn, "wag" thanks for a good laugh took me a second to make correct words.

I really am curious if aux 3 isn't another to be used at a latter date as in tmcc that never happened? guess time will tell.

seems like a word of caution in not pushing on that aux 3 as didn't engines take off or?

Aux 3 is for crazy engineers like myself to play with, strictly Gomez Adams territory

at this point.

Simple answer:

They put it there to be competitive with the AUX button on the DCS remote (which also does nothing!)
