Ho, Ho, Ho, hello, its santa. Unfortunately one of my "elves" deleted all the wish list from forum members , so please tell me what you want here. I will then check to see if you have been naughty or nice. Santa.

P.S. For those of you who can bear the truth, here it is. I am not really santa. I am just someone who would like to hear what you all want for Christmas. I may even post something(s) myself. Thanks,

Nickstrains.

Ooh, this will be a fun thread!

What I really want: a fun, loving, traditional Christmas with family and friends. I look forward to snuggling with my girlfriend watching the classic TV specials, going to dinner with her family and mine on Christmas Eve after church, and watching It's a Wonderful Life with her.

I look forward to those holiday traditions I grew up enjoying: going to the firehouse to see the train garden, riding around looking at Christmas lights, and decorating with my grandmother.

As to material items, the Angela Trotta Thomas book would be ok, as would a few things to get my layout complete before I head back to college after the new year.

Ive been good too!

I'm with Lionel Grandpa, but please have your elves at Dave Minarik's Mercer Junction Train Shoppe test out my pre-ordered Imperial Alaska RR 0-6-0 switcher before I pick it up.

Now St. Nick, If you were able to get your elves to find a mid-sized steamer of an Appalachian roadname with TMCC so I can check out my new-to-me TMCC base with my DCS system, I think I could keep busy all Christmas week!!

First, on my list, that all is well with family and friends.

That my rotator cuff heals fully from the surgery a few weeks ago and that I'll  be far enough in the recovery process to set up my annual around the tree display next month, even if not with the elaborateness of past holidays. (With two full thickness tears to the shoulder of dominant arm it will be challenging but only a temporary stumble and I'm thankful for that and my wonderful wife who's God's gift to me during this.

Although weeks early, I wish all here at OGR - happy and healthy holidays ahead and may your "wish lists" be filled.

My wife will buy me train stuff, but every year she has a great plan to keep it from me.

Her girl friends' husband is a big time golfer. So the girls will be sneaky. My wife will use her credit card to buy what the golfer wants and have it shipped to my house and her friend will use her credit card to purchase my train gear and have it shipped to her house.

No Paper Trail - for the guy's

Merry Christmas

I just got out of A care home 2 weeks ago and would like my foot to not get infected again so I can hopefully get the 4 1/2 lines running on the layout before Christmas.  5 years I've been trying to get them done but it is hard when you can't walk on the foot that is cut apart and healing slowly because of sugar.  Good health to one and all and we make it through another holiday season.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Choo Choo Kenny

Kenny,

I'm praying you get your wish!  Since meeting you at the TCA show in Cranberry last winter, I keep you in mind from time to time.

I've already gotten my Christmas wish.  We're moving to a new house and my lovely wife has allocated the sun room as "Ron's Train Room". I'll be coming to the forum for help on layout plans (which I such at) in the new year.

You will be in my prayers, Choo Choo Kenny.  Hope you get everything back on the rails.

So, "Santa", my wish is for good health for all the OGRers out there, a happy Christmas with friends and family, and lots of trains under everyone's trees.  Add a hope that some of the values that existed when I played on the Frankford Junction will grow again.

Chocolate chip cookies and milk will be waiting.
