The Halls officially open on Thursday at noon. If you're there on Wednesday I understand that there is activity outside of the fairgrounds that is not officially part of the York Meet.

On Wednesday, halls are only open for dealers and members to set-up. Without proper badging (dealer) you will not be able to enter.
Wednesday the Silver Hall is open for registration only from 3pm -5pm
Thursday 12 noon-5pm (member halls) -6:30pm (dealer halls)
Friday 9am-5pm (member halls) -6:30pm (dealer halls)
Saturday 9am-2pm All Halls
Thursday is the day I arrive. Opens at noon. On all days you will find a few tables covered. Perhaps the dealer is away buying a hot find at another table? Who knows? Most of the meet can be done in 6 hours, unless you are really searching for specific items.
A few times I have found a great "find" within a hour of the opening. The early bird sometimes gets the worm.

And even more specifically: At NOON on Thursday.
While you won't be able to shop the Fairgrounds Wednesday, the bandit meets will be going on around town. While way down from previous years their combined tables are still greater than most all local meets save the ones nationally known. Search this forum for the York Primer for more info on the bandits.
