Look at the Houston METRO S70 LRT cars with the new safety striping on the cab ends.  METRO does have cars with the small cab.  the small cab trains are the same size as the SLC UTA units.

With all the Pennsy steam fans around in o scale, you would think that a K5 pacific would be a great seller. The k4 has been done to infinity .but no K5, even though there were only 2 real K5's, I bet you could sell the required number so the importer could make a fair buck profit.  I will take one of each version.

The tooling is 5 years old now if you can believe it.  A rerun would allow for some great improvements.

There were about 5 or 6 orders for the Pennsylvania K5 when it was offered years ago. That is all. Sunset can currently offer 100 of a steam locomotive vs the 125 required not long ago. Maybe a PRR K5 should be offered again. I will talk to Scott about it.

If any of you go to the TCA convention in York stop by the Sunset 3rd Rail booth in the Orange Hall and make your feelings known. Scott will not be there but Jonathan Peiffer and I will be. I would expect cost to be around $1550 - $1600 for a brass K5.

Sounds like a plan. Hopefully this project can happen  

Not sure if anyone else has suggested this but I would like to see an NKP L series Hudson; preferably one of the LIMA built versions after their 1946 rebuilding.  I also would like to see Sunset 3rd Rail come out with either their own sound systems or a way to give the user a choice of whistles.  I seem to remember them proposing some sort of add-on board that would have done this some years back.  The present Lionel system being used (for 3 rail) seems to only offer a Hancock 3 chime for steam.

Yes, 2 Rail with no command sys. just DC.  Hey, $100 is a $100. If a person was buying an ABA set?  Savings of $300! It all adds up bud!
