That's a toughly.
my suggestion is to check in with Lionel every 6 months or so. They don't sell shells on items within warranty, so it may be a few years unfortunately.
You may consider rebuilding the damaged front nose using styrene sheet with internal structural shape stiffeners available from Plastruct also checkout Evergreen. I believe that most engine shells today are injected molded in styrene, also consider using Plastruct Plastic Weld Cement or Plastruct Bodene Solvent Cement. Since the engine is NS, I am guessing the shell is black, easy to match paint then respray entire engine shell with Dullcoat or equivalent, decals should be available for this engine.
Then you should contact Lionel again and let them know the situation. They will probably require you send them back the damaged shell so that when they have some they will make one available to you.
This was another floor crash model. It takes some time, usually they can be made functional again.
Required new windows, which allowed for the pieces to be glued together. Atlas SW9.
Touch up and some weathering at this point would mask most of the damage. I managed to salvage most of the paint detail which would have been difficult to re-do.
