Where do I find these?

Walking through an O scale show, you see these new and old in stacks of parts on

tables, but with All-Nation shut down, I don't know if Keil-Line or who? is a source for current production.  There have been many kits, brands, made with these parts...it

might take finding the right kit and using its parts.

Generally available at swap meets and shows.

Frequently on eBay -- you can usually find either All-Nation or Athearn/Reynolds, LWS, etc. versions floating about.  You can also find solid cast ends that were by Walthers originally, but may now be available from Keil-line.  Not web-site on the latter, but you can write a letter for a catalog for $2 (I think...)

Post over on the Buy part of the forum - it could work...

Keil-Line does a number of Boxcar and reefer ends in diecast metal.    Might have one you want.

Sometimes you need to know what end you might be looking for. Sometimes they can be found on other models.

That looks like a round corner dreadnaught reefer end. The Lionel PFE R-40-23 reefer has a round corner dreadnaught reefer ends.

Sometimes you may find that the same car has other parts you need. Maybe it also has the same roof. You might find that starting with a model that has some of the same style of parts you might only have to change the sides and underbody to make the car you want. 

Less of a scratch building project and more of a kit-bashing project but you still end up with the new model you want and that others can't buy off the shelf.
