Just came across this NS windmill train and it blew my mind, I can totally see Lionel or MTH (maybe they already did?)coming out with a set like this. I would jump on it in a beat. I love the contrast of the train vs the modern alien-like forms of the windmills.

The have a large plant in Little Rock AR that makes these things.  When they ship they make almost a unit train out of them.

DHS Diecast out of Berea, Ohio, has a true (or close to) 1/50th O scale wind turbine available, made in Germany, that looks awesome!   They retail at around $360.00 each, and are special order only.   One would need a sizable space to put one of these monsters, as they tower close to 30 plus inches tall.   If they were not so darned expensive, I'd put a couple in my flower beds as a joke.   Imagine the looks from my neighbors seeing these gently spinning in the summer breeze.......     They'd probably think I was nuts, that is until I told them that these provide enough power that I actually sell electricity back to ComEd...LOL!
