What is fair price?

I would not even pay more than 1200.00 for it new or used.you figure the technology in the unit is about 7 0r 8 years old.

I just went to the ebay listing link for this Acela,and I see three red flags,the first flag is that it is at 1425.00 with 4 days left,2nd it could easily reach 1700.00 bucks in 4 days,and last but not least the seller doesn't offer returns,and if you have an issue you have to sometimes file a case wih ebay to get your money back.thats a period of a minimum of 10 days.an added headache.

The ebay auction bid is now over $2000 with 4 days to go.  Guess there are some who are willing to pay more than $1200.

The DASH auction site has both an Acela set and the add-on passenger car set currently listed.

I did an advanced search on ebay after I saw the one listed in the link above, and quite a few sold for far north of $2,000; these were all mint w/ extra cars.  Some used sold at $1200.
