Figured I would ask for one. Don't expect to get it, but if anyone has it, please let me know. I can trade or buy. Thanks for looking.

Dont think Lionel is going to make them for a long time. I contacted them a year ago and it didnt sound like they were going to produce them anytime soon.
I am looking for one as well, I did spot one on ebay a little while ago but the bid went way up past the msrp. If we find one I doubt it will be cheap!
Well, I found one, if you want one that bad here is your opportunity!!!
As I said before, it can get very pricy.
I wouldn't but it because it is way above the msrp, $89.99

That might be a crazy price, but what is even crazier is that someone bid on it!
You are right on that one. Sadly ebay is turning into a "bid" instead of a "Buy It Now" site to buy model trains

Can't say I agree with that. Ebay was originally supposed to be an auction site. With the proliferation of "Buy It Now" ads, it becomes more of a retail advertising site for dealers.
Look at what it ended for....I considered it at the 550 but that end price is INSANE
These cars almost always sell over $250 and recently $350+. After a solid year of looking very regularly I found one a while back that had just been listed on ebay as a buy it now for msrp.
Needless to say...I bought it immediately! So keep checking constantly and you may find one. I wish I had a case of these things!
Another one just sold on eBay for $960! Almost 1000 dollars for an Amfleet!
I am happy with the cars I have. A friend of mine has been looking for over two years. I put it on my hit list for York and have had no luck.
Lionel should making more but hey will rather makes things that are redone so many times. How many F7's can you make. I think that I will take mine apart and make silcone molds from the one I have a reproduce. These manufactures are sometimes a pain. A $89 item worth 50 costing in the end half a grand. That is BS.
I just hope Lionel puts more Amtrak stuff in the 2017 v2
Shurlock, it is all about the money. Not for nothing these cars were at the Dealers for a long time. Charlie Ro had many of them. You can not blame Lionel for a person not stepping up to the plate. They can make more on an F-7 than a cab car. I plan on following what Max threw out. I have some of these cars. I liked them when they first came out and did not care if they grew in value , I just liked them. I live on the Northeast Corridor and do not see these here with Amtrak trains.
My friend Chris Lonero and I added some full lighting. The frosting on the cake would have been plating like MTH did. The car has the flat look like Atlas cars.
Marty,
You wouldn't be interested in selling one of them to a little boy with a hearty passion for trains would you?
Meanwhile the Greenbergs guide still says these are only worth $120. I wrote to them two years ago when these cars were getting "only" about $300. They still refuse to acknowledge the value of these in their guides.

The reason these did not sell at first was because the HHP-8 with the set had lousy motors and known issues. Many of these were returned to Lionel. I witnessed these at Canfield. I canceled my cab car order due to the problem plagued and returned HHP-8.
Later the bigger motored version with TMCC came out and lots of us who still had the Amfleet part of the set aquired the improved HHP-8. Then interest in the Cab car awakened.
Max, I plan on keeping them. Hopefully some will show up on this post.
I want these to turn into a possible metroliner car.
They are nice but not great. Metroliners were stainless steel and very shinny. The Lionel cars are flat finish
Contact Greenberg and see if they will get you one for 120. That book is not used much and not at all by anyone I know. It is a rough guide like KBB for cars.
