There is a thread on the 3-Rail Scale Board that asks the question whether there is enough interest to warrant 3rd Rail to do a run of F units in the Sante Fe Yellow Warbonnet paint scheme. Apparently Scott Mann is reported to have said that he would look at a minimum run of 25 to 30 units to make such a project feasible. Five Forum members reported an interest in purchasing this set were it to be manufactured. However, since there is a much higher volume of users on this Board, many members may have missed this topic.

So if you would be interested in purchasing a set of Yellow warbonnets, please post your interest here. The MTH models are very scarce and are difficult to find. This may be our best opportunity to get this project done.

Update July 28th:

I received an e-mail from Scott Mann stating he is giving serious thought to producing a run of Yellow Warbonnets. If you would purchase a set of these, you need to e-mail him expressing your interest. Indicate the number of units you will order such as an ABA or ABBA combo. Thanks to Jonathan Peiffer for his encouragement of this project.

Update July 30th:

The 3rd Rail Website will now allow you to order the Yellow Warbonnet F7 A &B units. On the home page, click on the EDM F7A (Sante Fe Red Warbonnet pictured) and this will take you to the page for the F7s. The Yellow and Red Sante Fe versions are listed. Click on Reserve.

I already have the standard red warbonnets ordered but I can tell you that my 3rd Rail FP7's are the smoothest, quietest, diesel sets I own. Thats why I ordered an ABBA set of FTs and F7s from Scott. Oh and did I mention they look pretty good too I just dont need another set of Yellow Bonnets.

I received an e-mail from Scott Mann expressing an interest in producing a run of Yellow Warbonnets. If you would order a set, please e-mail Scott Mann and let him know the number of units you will order such as an ABA or ABBA combo. There is a rather small threshold to make this happen, so YOUR intent to order is important.

I would also like to thank Jonathan Peiffer for his encouragement of this project.
