Scott,

Maybe for the next year anniversary of 9/11 could the auxiliary tender used by the Daylight be made? I would be down for a 2 rail version with the "Lets Roll" slogan and small flag on the side as I have seen in pictures. I would think that some other the folks out there could maybe fill the requirements for the remaining 3 rail and 2 rail quotas

You just might want to compare the dimensions of that "MTH lump" to the real thing. Plus, since the Southern Pacific did not ever use auxiliary water tenders behind their GS class steam locomotives, I really can't see Sunset/3rd Rail producing a "high end" brass model of one.

Which MTH model are you talking about? There have been Railking and Premier versions of an SP auxiliary water tender. I agree that the former is a "lump" that you could not in good conscience run behind a scale GS-4. The Premier version is much better although to my eye it sits too high over the rails:

Not to pour cold water on Jack's idea but just try and find one of these to modify as he suggests. They were issued in about 2000 and are in short supply. I found one earlier this year but had to pay a premium for it.

3rd Rail still have some of their fine brass UP AWTs in stock some three years after production. I doubt that they would go in for a run of the SPs but if they did I'd sign up for one.
