It's about a week late, but thought I'd mention  that we just passed the York Summer Equinox...that point in the calendar when the sun begins its southerly descent and straddles midpoint between the Spring and Fall York Meets.  The days are getting shorter now...days waiting for York.

While there are plusses to the timing of the Yorks, and rejoicing that there are at

least two meets, vs. the one of some phases of the train hobby, many train shows

tend to occur in the really lousy weather of winter.  That does not encourage long

drives to attend them.  Summer shows, with no school in session, would seem to be

the opportunity to expose children to this virus.  Wonder how many children and their

parents miss York because of school?  The conventions just do not have the size of

shows that would approach York.  But then, maybe it is me, and the fact, that for me,

trains are not seasonal.
