Maybe old news for some...

"The York County Industrial Development Authority (YCIDA) announced on January 5, 2016 that it finalized the purchase of the historic Yorktowne Hotel on December 18, 2015. The purchase of the hotel was the first step in a strategic plan to redevelop the propety into a mixed-use building. The project received a $10 million-dollar grant from Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).

The hotel closed on Sunday, November 6, 2016, with a planned reopening for late 2018."

We stayed there a few times.  The hotel was great but all parking was done by valet service.  After a few stays I got tired of waiting for my car for a half hour.  And the last time they did some minor damage to my vehicle and the management basically just shrugged their shoulders.  But there were plenty of other nice accommodations in the York area.
