Last week I attended the NMRA National Convention in Portland Oregon. Part of the convention includes admission to the National Train Show.

The following photos were part of a Z scale modular layout from the Bay area. I was absolutely blown away by what is going on in Z scale today. I did not shoot any photos of motive power and equipment, but suffice it to say that there is a huge explosion of product available.

Not planning on doing anything with Z scale, as I am firmly planted in HO, but it was very educational to see what folks are doing with laser cutters, and in 3D modeling.
